Legal Framework
Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Welcome to LakeHaven Fishing Lodge. These terms and conditions outline the rules, regulations, and legal agreements for the use of our facilities, rustic accommodations, guided fishing tours, visitor packages, and premium equipment rental services. By accessing our property or booking our services, you agree to comply with the terms detailed below.
1. Operational Definitions
The Lodge
Refers to LakeHaven Fishing Lodge, including its natural grounds, guest cabins, main lodge building, docks, watercraft, and all associated infrastructure dedicated to our fishing tourism base.
The Guest
Refers to any individual, group, or entity that has secured a booking, purchased a visitor package, or is physically present on the Lodge property for recreational or lodging purposes.
Guided Tours
Refers to the structured, staff-led fishing excursions provided by the Lodge, which may include instruction, boat transportation, and strategic positioning on the waterways.
2. Booking and Reservations
Deposit & Payment Structure
Due to the seasonal nature of fishing tourism, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your accommodation and requested guided tour dates. The remaining balance is automatically invoiced and due exactly 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
Bookings made within 30 days of arrival require full payment upfront. All transactions are processed securely, and the Lodge reserves the right to cancel unconfirmed reservations if deposits are not received within 48 hours of the initial request.
Seasonal Adjustments
Package rates are subject to change based on seasonal tourist flow and specific environmental conditions. Once a deposit is received, your rate is locked and guaranteed against any future seasonal price increases.
Please note that specific cabin assignments cannot be absolutely guaranteed, though we will make every effort to accommodate requests based on group size and accessibility needs.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that travel plans can change. Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date are eligible for a full refund of the deposit, minus a standard administrative processing fee of 5%.
Cancellations initiated between 30 and 60 days prior to arrival will result in the forfeiture of the initial 50% deposit. The Lodge heavily relies on scheduled bookings for our seasonal operations, making last-minute rebooking challenging.
No refunds, partial or full, will be issued for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival, or for early departures resulting from personal emergencies, inclement weather, or varying fishing conditions. We highly recommend that all guests secure comprehensive travel insurance.
4. Lodge and Waterway Conduct
To maintain our warm, hospitable atmosphere and preserve the natural environment, guests must adhere to the following core guidelines.
Catch & Release
All native trout and protected species are strictly catch-and-release. Only legally permitted seasonal species may be kept, subject to strict daily limits.
Quiet Hours
To ensure a restful environment for all guests preparing for early morning excursions, quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Wildlife Interaction
Feeding, harassing, or leaving food out for local wildlife is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate dismissal from the Lodge without refund.
Fire Safety
Open flames are restricted to designated, lodge-approved fire pits. Smoking is prohibited inside all cabins and enclosed public areas.
5. Equipment Rental Agreement
Guests electing to rent premium equipment—including rods, reels, waders, tackle kits, or non-motorized watercraft—from LakeHaven Fishing Lodge are responsible for returning the gear in the same condition it was received at the start of the rental period.
- Normal operational wear and tear on tackle and lines is expected and accepted.
- Catastrophic breakage, loss, or severe damage due to negligence or misuse will be billed to the guest's payment card on file at full retail replacement cost.
- All rented watercraft must be properly docked, cleaned of debris, and securely tied at the main lodge dock by sunset each evening.
The Lodge is not responsible for the performance outcome of the rental gear, nor can we guarantee fishing success based on equipment usage.
6. Limitation of Liability
Wilderness environments, waterways, and active fishing tourism carry inherent risks. By booking a stay, participating in a guided tour, or utilizing our grounds at LakeHaven Fishing Lodge, all guests legally acknowledge these inherent risks.
Guests explicitly agree that LakeHaven Fishing Lodge, its owners, employed guides, staff, and affiliated partners shall not be held liable for any personal injury, bodily harm, loss of life, or property damage sustained before, during, or after their visit to the property.
Individuals are wholly responsible for their own safety and judgement when wading in rivers, operating boats, handling fishing hooks, or navigating the forested grounds surrounding the rustic accommodation.
7. Policy Modifications and Inquiries
We reserve the right to review, amend, or completely modify these terms and conditions at any time to accurately reflect changes in our operational procedures, seasonal offerings, or federal legal requirements. Continued use of our booking services constitutes acceptance of these modified terms.
